The Relationship Centre is in the process of developing a new service for families - Family Counselling.
Every family has problems/arguments at times, but sometimes these seem to escalate and become unresolvable. Major life events like redundancy, moving house, unemployment and health issues can also cause problems. Going for counselling is recognising that a problem exists and that you are prepared to take steps to help resolve it. Family counselling is for: · Families · Parents and children · Siblings · Grandparents · Extended families · Blended/re-constituted families
You can see a Family Counsellor individually, as a couple, some family members, all family members. All The Relationship Centre's counsellors are qualified relationship counsellors, who have undertaken specialist training in working with families. Family Counselling will give you and your family the opportunity and space to work on the issues affecting your family. The process will encourage each family member to have a voice and help you to resolve your differences together. For Family Counselling, the number and timing of the sessions will be discussed during the initial meeting - this will usually be between 6-8 sessions.
